Tania Pickett spent this years Teacher Inquiry concentrating on the teaching of how to write a good introduction paragraph with the Y12’s during DP history. The year 12’s structure within the DP essays was/has been an area of concern  By starting with the introduction paragraph she can then build on the body paragraphs. The TEEL paragraph has been taught in so many year levels/subjects but it seems that the transfer for the students between subjects is not apparent . After doing the inquiry that involved a lot of modelling and scaffolding the students are most successful in writing linking sentences.
