This book Christmas tree was made by my LT group. It took teamwork and discussion to make what looks to be something quite simple, but isn’t. A great spin off to this was that we then did our ‘Secret Santa’, with everyone putting their gifts under the tree, highlighting the kindness that is evident in this group. I have also used it to read stories to the students with them sitting around the tree. This kind of thing brings out the ‘child’ in students that they can easily lose when transitioning to Secondary. They loved being read to and loved being allowed to be simply children again!
