Reviewing the class Essential Agreement

As part of the process in building positive relationships and reestablishing classroom expectations in the transition of a new classroom teacher for 4KSE, I thought it would be helpful to review the classroom Essential Agreement. We went through a collaborative process of brainstorming the values we deemed to be most important when sharing a classroom space together. Students then ranked these (diamond ranking activity) to identify the core values of most importance to everyone. This was followed by a See… Hear… Feel… Y-chart to determine how we would demonstrate these values within the classroom, and support the wording of the agreement.
